Just a few things you may or may not know about me.
1. We have only one television in our house and I don’t watch it. The few things I do watch I view online.
2. I suddenly become very curious about famous people after they die. I start googling and reading Wikipedia articles. Needless to say I’m anxiously awaiting the Steve Jobs biography. So sad 😦
3. I now understand why Pinterest is all the rage. My page is a bit drab but I’m getting the hang of it and it sure is addicting!
4. I ran today for the first time since “the injury.” I went very slowly and took walking breaks. It felt great to be out there again. I did what felt comfortable and I don’t feel as though I overdid it.
5. One of my favorite books is “Pastwatch: The Redemption of Christopher Columbus” by Orson Scott Card. This book explores the past through time travel and tries to answer the question, what if Columbus had never “discovered” America.
It is shaping up to be a gorgeous weekend here. I’m looking forward to my weekend off. Carlos has a soccer game Saturday and Sunday. My fall decorations will be up by Sunday. I have some baking to do for the bake sale at Carlos’ school’s fall festival on Monday.
Have a great weekend. Pinterest here I come!
I have to start looking at Pinterest again…I never really started searching but did set up a page. But so many blogs that I read reference it that I KNOW I will love it.
Glad the run went well.
Enjoy your weekend 🙂
It’s so much fun Kaye. The possibilities are endless. My boards are sad in comparison to most, but I’m just getting the hang of it. Hope you have a great weekend. The weather looks beautiful, finally!
Hi Aimee! I got really interested in Jack LaLanne, Farrah Fawcett, and Brad Delp of the band Boston after they died. We are sad about Steve Jobs too.
I’m glad that you are feeling much better, but be extremely careful not to rush back into running. A week more of rest might be a short-cut in healing vs. the long way. I’m only saying this from experience of trying to go back to the gym far too early. Yes, I did a fine workout, but I wore myself out and ultimately set my AB surgery healing backward. So just be patient, aware, and make good choices.
🙂 Marion
You are right Marion. I’m being very mindful of my limitations. My run was more like a slow jog. It made me both happy and sad, happy that I could actually move that way again, but sad to realize how much work lies ahead of me. I will be resting throughout the long weekend while drinking lots of mineral tea. It is difficult not to keep going but your words remind me that it is more important to continue moving forward with my healing. Thank you. Have a wonderful weekend.
Oh my, I am so addicted to Pinterest right now, Aimee! I’m in awe of people’s creativity!! Such great ideas! I’ll look for you and follow!!
Enjoy your weekend!
It’s a good thing I don’t have more time because I would be on it all the time. My boards are pitiful in comparison, but I’m just getting into it. I will follow you too!
I’m now following you on Pinterest, I’m way addicted to that site! I’ve actually made a few recipes and crafts from there, so at least I’m being productive? haha
Hope you have a great weekend!
Thanks Sam. I will look for you on Pinterest too.
