I started this blog to chronicle my new found love of running. I was a relatively new mom and new nurse working night shift. Having struggled with weight issues all my life, I knew if I didn’t want to sit on the sidelines of my son’s life I had to make some changes. I learned to cook, became vegetarian, started running and then I discovered races. Since 2011, I have run 10 marathons and countless other races.

I feel better when I’m moving whether it’s running, walking, hiking or traveling. This blog doesn’t reflect perfection. I am a work in progress in all areas of my life.
