I started this blog to chronicle my new found love of running. I was a relatively new mom and new nurse working night shift. Having struggled with weight issues all my life, I knew if I didn’t want to sit on the sidelines of my son’s life I had to make some changes. I learned to cook, became vegetarian, started running and then I discovered races.

Since 2011, I have run 10 marathons, countless other races, started a new job and a graduate program, traveled to many new places and some familiar favorites, and moved to a new home. I have taken a lengthy break from blogging, but as I contemplate embarking on a lofty challenge it seems an ideal time to begin writing again.
